In January 1942, the ERIE ordered and received 100  40' autocars from American Car & Foundry under Lot 2288.  These were assigned Series numbers 95000-95099 by the ERIE railroad.

They were equipped with 5/5 Dreadnaught ends from Standard Steel's Chicago plant with "W" design corners, Youngstown doors with a narrow 12'-6"' opening, U.S. Gypsum running boards and brake step, Universal hand brake assembly, National B-1 solid bearing trucks,  and 8/8 rung ladders.

The all brass Protocraft model has been carefully replicated by BooRim Precision in Korea using AC&F drawings supplied by the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis with consultant Ed Hawkins.  The all brass trucks have ball bearings for easy rolling and sintered steel rib-back wheels.  Models are designed to accept the Kadee or Protocraft coupler box.  Only 30 models built.  Part #3306-O for O scale and #3306-P for Proto:48. Correct decal sets from Protocraft Decals: as-delivered with small diamond, and the 1947 repaint scheme with the 72" diamond
