Between 1949 and 1952 the Canadian Pacic ordered 1,200 10’-6” IH boxcars from Pullman-Standard of the PS-1 design for their cross-border International

of Maine Division. This division was formed with cars equiped with US built equipment which could run in normal interchange without US duty restrictions.
