	The Western Pacic received 300 52’-6” Greenville design 70-Ton Drop-End Gondola Cars beginning in late 1945. Cars were delivered as follows: 
	Series 6501-6600, 100 cars, Mt. Vernon Car Company, Lot 10081, wood oor. DN ends- delivered October 1945 
	Series 6601-6800. 200 cars, Greenville Steel Corporation, O.O. 527, steel oor, I DN (reverse pattern) ends delivered June 1949 
	The cars were equiped with, outside tie-down clips and Car Builder door locks. Hand brakes were side mounted Ajax Power Hand Brake. 
	Paint & Lettering: Cars painted WP’s Dixon Black Silicone Graphite Paint. This was a dull nish and not a true black, but rather a very dark gray (i.e., graphite 
	color) Stencils were aluminum (white mixed with aluminum pigment) stencil paste. Diagonally-opposite corners were painted International Orange in 18”high 
	triangles that wrap around the corner post to the edge of the opening. (Ed Hawkins) Note: By 1958 cars were repainted black with Armour yellow lettering. See
